Will the Wolf for Will


The other night I had a rather strange dream.
I don't really remember much of what happened other than I was talking to a wolf named Will... I don't even remember exactly what it was we were talking about. What I do remember is that we were out in some deep very deep dark green woods. Which makes sense, it being a wolf and all.

Anyway, at some point the wolf asked to see my heart, which I thought was weird at first, but I agreed. I have no idea how but my heart became visible. It wasn't like my chest opened up or anything. or that it was like an x-ray or anything. it was just my heart was visible

Well, at that point my heart was a very pretty pale pink and a little glittery. but then it changed to an icy blue, and then a warm purple and from there it just kept changing (apparently my heart was a mood stone). I looked to the wolf to find out what was going on and he said it was fine, it was just stabilizing and we'd have to wait until it reached it true color.

Well it continued to change colors over and over and we kept talking, and then the wolf stops and tells me it's done. I look down to see what color it is, and it's black. Or at least I think it's black. But it also kind of resembles the color of the trees around where the green is a very deep and dark, rich shade that almost looks black but it's very much green. I however think it's black and am very upset by that because I don't want a black heart.

I look up to ask why it's black, but by then the wolf is turning to leave because he has to "tell everyone" about my heart.

I yell out as he's running away why he needs to tell them, no one needs to know that my heart is black! He turns just a little and somehow the wolf is smiling (i don't know how a wolf would smile, but he is) and says not to worry, that black means special.

To which I reply "how is that special?" but by then he's gone so I'm mumbling sarcastically to myself "Oh sure I'm special, I'm talking to a wolf! And now I'm talking to myself!"

And then I woke up.


To be honest I wasn't particularly fond of the idea of having a black heart, even if I was told it was special, but after talking to Will the next morning, I really liked his explanation :
"Well when you think about black in terms of color/light, then a black heart is exactly what you want. Because it takes in everything, all the love, all the pain, and makes it a part of you."


I like how the picture came out, sort of. It doesn't look too much like a wolf though does it?... I tried, but animals are hard... especially furry animals. the feathers on the Macaw were easier, but I do like this. lol I used the same smudge tool to do this one that I did for the Suna Desert one, which is a different one than I usually use for my other realism ones... I don't know, it seems... "creamier" which I think made the fur look very soft and fluffy Anyway I hope you like it Will!
